Other uses for meat grinder

meatgrinderguides

A meat grinder basically cuts raw meat into various pieces and then grinds it into a fine powder or texture. You can find different types of grinders in the market. They come in different sizes and for different purposes too. So before you choose a grinder of your own, make sure that what else can you use a meat grinder for.

Electric Meat Grinder Uses: The most common motorized meat grinder uses an electric motor with a blade. Usually the motor has an attachment which is used for chopping and turning the blades. This is usually a hand wheel with either a handle or a crank. You can control the speed of the motor with the help of a cord which is connected to the motor or a circuit breaker. Because of this, the blades are rendered sharp for fast grinding.

Cordless Meat Grinder Uses: There are also some unique types of meat grinder uses which don't make use of an electrical motor. These are mostly used in households where there is no electricity available. In this case, the blades of the grinder are manually turned by a person manually. The process is similar to the grinding of bones except that here, the person who is grinding bones doesn't need to hold the meat grinding knives.

Pet Grinder Uses: Similar to the household usage, a pet grinder too grind meat in a similar way to an electric grinder. To grind meat in a pet grinder, it needs to have a similar type of blades as that of the domestic electric grinders. The difference lies in the fact that the blades of the pet grinders are made out of steel. This makes them capable of handling tougher and bigger pieces of meat. To grind meat in a pet grinder, you need to use one of these grinders to pound the meat in a pound or in a half pound.

Bone Grinder: Another unique type of meat grinder which is used in the field is the bone grinder. Unlike other grinders, the bone grinder uses the steel bones instead of the common plastic. This allows the user to get a heavier grind as compared to other grinders and it also has the ability to reverse function which allows it to grind wheat, oats, rice and corn.

Vegetable Grinder: Similar to other grinders, this meat grinder too grinds up the vegetables but it does it in a different way. For one, it doesn't use the vegetables for its ingredients. Instead, the vegetables are ground with its own blades so that it can create fine meal from the ground bones. The vegetables are ground using a rotary cutter and once this is done, the vegetables get ground flat. This is why most meat processors which use this grinder are best for slicing purposes.

Ground Bone Meal: This type of meat grinder also grinds the bones but it does it in a different way than the vegetables. Since the teeth of this grinder are shaped like a bird's beak, the grinding bones are ideal for grinding wheat and corn. The meat grinder makes it ideal for grinding meat meal from cattle as well as chickens.

It is important to know how your grinder works because each of these types has its own purpose. For example, you will use the electric grinder if you want to grind vegetables but for home users, they will use a meat grinder. These machines have their own function so you should know what you need before buying any type of appliance. Aside from knowing how the appliance works, you should also learn how you will use it. When shopping for a grinder, always consider the size that you will use and what type of meat you will grind.
